「墨」を影だとすると「水」は光に当てはまる。水墨にとって双方はなくてはならない。

私にとって水墨とは滲ませた淡墨に少しずつ黒を挿すように、曖昧で輪郭も何も見えないものに光を注ぎ、形を具象化していく行為です。

それはどこか無から誕生したものがおわりを遂げ、また無になっていく生命にも似たような感じです。
